Forum on Quebec’s Animal Welfare Regulations – Thursday, January 28, 2015

Did you know that Quebec has passed new laws that could allow the government to dictate how many animals are allowed in a barn? There’s a whole new world of animal welfare regulations coming your way. How will it affect you?

Come to a Community Learning Centre near you on Thursday, January 28 and learn all about it. The QFA will have on-hand two speakers who know how this will shake up the livestock industry. Stephane Forest is the UPA’s chief lawyer with a strong insight into the make-up of the new legislation. He has an understanding of what might be expected regarding the implications of the new law and can provide farmers with deeper knowledge on what to do and what not to do, as the new reality evolves.

Nathalie Côté, from the Fédération des producteurs de bovins du Québec, has studied the new law extensively and knows beef production through and through.

This is a videoconference being broadcast to Community Learning Centres in Shawville, Low, Richmond, Bury, Magog, Lachute and Ormstown!

On Thursday, January 28! Starting at 7:30 p.m. and ending at 10:00 p.m.
