Ben Nichols is a young dairy farmer from the Eastern Townships, former student of Macdonald College and former dignitary of his local 4-H club. He is the 4-H representative on the QFA board of directors.

Walter Last is a mixed farmer from Poltimore in the Outaouais. A veteran of grass finishing and direct marketing, he and his wife, Helen, rear beef, sheep, pigs and poultry, in addition to managing their extensive maple syrup operation.

Patricia Keenan is a fourth generation farmer in Quebec’s’ Eastern Townships and farms a Black Angus cow/calf feeder operation. She has a passion for young people and her local community, and is tenacious in keeping the human-sized family farm alive.

Armin Ruf farms 500 acres just outside Stanstead in the Eastern Townships, has a small beef enterprise and a livestock trailer and animal weigh-scale sales company. In addition, he has created a business buying and selling quality horses which causes him to travel extensively throughout Quebec and beyond, and puts him directly in touch with farmers from all backgrounds, daily.

Mark Boyd farms an extensive beef operation alongside his partner in Rupert in the Outaouais. His experience covers conventional production of pigs, poultry, dairy, beef, sheep and goats and as a qualified and practicing butcher has ‘front end’ knowledge of what the consumer demands.
